Hi All ,
I have Dell pc and using Windows XP
I have the "send & receive fax" software on my pc and i did use it a lot in
the past when i had a land PHONE LINE ,it did worked fine specailly sending
out faxes,
now I do not have a Land phone line , I am only using the Cable (cable
vision) modem to connect to internet ..
my Question is : can I fax a document from either my pc directly or from
Hotmail attachements using a cable modem? and what do I need to do
so?(meaning changing settings..etc)
or do I still need a Land Phone Line ?
Pls advise ..Thx yu

If you plan on sending the fax directly from your home without passing
through any other services and using only the software built into your
Dell - you would likely have to hook a phone line to whatever dial-up modem
you have (you may have one of those in addition to your network connection)
and then you can utilize the service like you seem to be used to doing...

To send a fax otherwise (using what you actually have - broadband - and
connecting nothing else up - but probably installing software and passwing
through a third party to send said fax) - you will need to research and
purchase a service and use it like they tell you to. Look into "fax over
broadband" services using Google.
