RDP won't connect after Critical Updates

I have two Windows XP machines on the network that, after installing Windows
Critical Updates, won't allow remote connections. I've checked all the
firewall, remote assistance, and remote desktop settings. The Firewall
settings are grayed out except for the box to check regarding exceptions. It
is unchecked. I've tried the last two system restores and that hasn't made
any difference. Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

New RDC is not meant of XP it is only for Vista and Long horn. It poor of
Microsoft to provide now with same name which is not there on market as main
Client or Server OS. Uninstall and get old RDC.

Thanks, Jazzy. I added their listening ports to the Windows Firewall
Exceptions and all is well.
