Hello,

trying to connect from a x86-client to w2k-server gives only 8-bit
colors on the client, I've installed the client with the 2 disks
created from the terminal server with the 32bit option client and
placed the settings well on the client
does this have to do with permissions / service-packs on the server?
the w2k server uses sp4
the client is or a w2k-pro or an xp-pro with rdp 5.0 and 5.2
I've seen the solution about windows 2003 but that's no option (low
budget)
how do I get the proposed colors.

You can't. W2K TS (running rdp 5.0) supports a maximum of 256 colors.
