RDP CLient Display issue

Hi, I am having an issue running RDP version 5.0 connecting to a windows 2K terminal server. My problem is with my display resolution. My client keeps defaulting to 256 colors even though the terminal server has the correct driver and is set at 1024X768 and 24 bit color. My client display card is also set to the same settings as the server but when I run the RDP session it defaults to 256 colors and this is making one of my apps not work. It must run in at least 16 bit color. I have checked the settings within the RDP client and all is set correctly !

W2K Server only supports a color depth of 256 colors.. to
have a higher color depth for remote connections you need
to run Windows 2003 Server
