RAS Service Failure

I am trying to setup a VPN host on my Windows XP Pro
machine. I successfully created one and I deleted that
entry to recreate. When I tried to set it up again, I
get a failure notice saying the Remote Access and Routing
Service has to be started and it fails to start. Here is
the message I have from the event viewer:

The Routing and Remote Access service terminated with
service-specific error 2147483720 (0x80000048).

Anyone know how to fix this? or possibly point me in the
right direction as to how to setup a VPN host?
