I'm trying to set up an XP Pro box to accept incoming
connections. When I hit "Next" at the "Accept incoming
connections" step, I get an error message saying that
Routing and Remote Access couldn't start, therefore no
incoming connections, etc...

Here's my system event log trail:

.
have you got the networking update from windows update?
and remember some things can/have to be installed from
the xp disk again by puttin it in and looking under
install additional features or so on...............

No, I haven't tried re-installing Routing and Remote
Access yet (should've been the first thing I did- bad me).

Anyway, I think it might have something to do with the
Belkin F5U109 USB-serial adapter. The remote access was
working last week, I installed the F5U109 over the
weekend, and now remote access doesn't work. I have tried
uninstalling the F5U109, but still no dice. I've got a
call in to Belkin, and I'm gonna scare up another box to
test RA before and after 109 install, we'll see what
happens.

Thanks,
Steve
