Again, you stand against acting decently, 'kid'..

Adam Albright said:
The end justifies the means excuse to act like a smartass.

Let me explain the facts of life to you kid. There is no we. You speak
only for yourself. Any time you or anybody attempts to pretend they
speak for others they automatically make a fool of themselves by so
doing unless you're speaking in some official capacity which you
clearly are not.

Second, since you treasure your MVP status so, you would think you
would conduct yourself more appropriately since you are a unoffical
representative of what Microsoft is attempting to do in these
newsgroups. You seem to go out of your way to be an embarrassment,
insulting customers, mocking them and in general act like a doofus.
That isn't what you're suppose to be here for and trust me, such
conduct has not gone unnoticed or unreported.

Third, if you or any other MVP can't take a little flack, then get out
of the newsgroup, you don't belong here if you're a thin skinned
little prima donna who gets his feeling hurt so easily and then seeks
out revenge by provoking more heated exchanges to compensate for your
lack of self control and low self-esteem.

The ones who are seemingly above it have the guys in killfiles, I think.. we
are only human, and when insulted, we sometimes feel the need to hit back..
the only reason I challenge any of them is such that decent folk don't go
away from here with wrong ideas..

Way before I was an MVP, I used to also cover the alt.os groups too.. the
way of some in there, the language and insults were truly deplorable.. I had
emails from some asking me if there was anyplace they could go for info that
wasn't so bad.. I invariably steered them to MS groups.. now the trolls have
decided to set up camp here, and it is only a matter of time before this all
escalates to the level of alt.os..

I will finally do what others have done..

I've seen a few that need some "consultation". Sometimes, they just cause
more problems than the original insult, and it looks childish. The few
MVP's that I refer to have already been called out several times in these
groups (well, they mostly only hit *.general!), I'm not naming names. With
so many insults, why give them a reason to insult? It's just a personal
obeservation, really. Although, the insults have been incredibly bad
lately, but a few of the trolls have started to move on and actually help
others, which is a good thing.

The MVP program is a great program, and I see a lot of very useful posts.
But, a few of them are demeaning and rude. Against the MVP creedo. I don't
mind seeing a good arguement, a lot of times both come out knowing more.
But, there are also a lot of cheap shots that I can see coming from the
trolls, but the MVP's should be above that. You all do great work, and I
hope to be there someday. In the meantime, I'm learning more and more
about Vista & Longhorn and helping out in anyway I can. Just don't let it
go to your heads (speaking to all MVP's, no one in particular). You were
chosen because you helped a lot of people, and show exceptional knowledge
in the products you were chosen for. But, you were also chosen because you
acted professional and calmly. I'd just like to see the "Professional" put
back into Microsoft Most Valuable Professional. You are already very
valuable to this community.

This isn't aimed at anyone in particular, and can be taken as is.

There is a place for everything.. how do you know what we do behind the
scenes? If I have an issue with another MVP, or anybody who has a e-mail
address on display, I take it up with that person privately..

My e-mail address is out there, regardless of whether I get spam or not.. I
will respond to anybody who has an issue with me personally, but I only
reply to those who use an ISP mail address, not faceless untraceable Hotmail
or Yahoo accounts..

There are MVP leads, but I'm not sure how much power they have other than
acting as a more direct liason to the Microsoft dev teams. I was joking on
the hung up part... Just a pun on a previous post of yours!

Secret handshake takes a while to learn I've heard. It involves three
fingers and three keys. :-)

But, I fullheartedly agree on your statement: The problem aside from them
not following the "rules" is none of the
good MVPs do a damn thing about the misconduct of the bad apples
either. Its like there are always a few bad cops in every department.
One reason why is the good cops always look the other way.

A lot of MVP's are truely great people, and it is the few that make the
rude comments (and people do notice: I followed a link in the sig of a
recent troll and there were quite a few quotes from MVP's that made it in
there that shouldn't have been!) that really kill the MVP status. Let's
just hope that the attention will help, and things will calm down a bit.

Adam maybe you should become an MVP, and show the rest of us how it is
supposed to be done, then maybe we would not have to hear your insults to
others anymore, because you would actually adhere to a code of conduct, wait
you could not do that. Bad idea for you to become an MVP, you would just
give them a bad name.

Some advice you badly need. GROW UP.

Again, you stand against acting decently, 'kid'..

Again you prove you shouldn't be a MVP because you can't control your
emotions and easily let others get under your skin with you constantly
and foolishly having some silly need to stroke your already bloated
ego while disrespecting Microsoft customers, like you are now. In other
words, you're hanging yourself.

Sorry Mike, you're just too ignorant to realize YOU are one of the
biggest trolls here and prove constantly why you shouldn't be a MVP.
You just admitted why yourself. You claim you're only human and
therefore that is your juvenile justification for "striking back"
anytime anybody says something you don't agree with and accordingly
you violate the rules you said you would uphold if granted MVP status.

Sorry, you don't have the "right stuff" to be a MVP. For one thing,
you're way too immature and can't control your emotions and obviously
you have a very thin skin and foolishly think you need to defend
Microsoft which is at the root of many of your outburts. You don't
know the first thing about how to conduct yourself in a newsgroup and
to be a unofficial representative of Microsoft by having MVP status
you totally fail letting your anger always get the best of you. Sorry
if this is too big a dose of reality for you to swallow but it is the
truth and as you've proved many times in the past, you can't handle
the truth.

PLONK! bye Adam

PLONK! bye Adam

The final juvenile act. Can't debate worth a crap so you resort to a
"plonk" then to confirm you act like a five year old you need to make
a public announcement you plonked somebody as if anyone over six years
old would care. So many little kiddies hang out in this newsgroup. You
suck your thumb too Dave?

I asked for decency which you are unable to deliver.. Wiedersehen..

Some of the insults in here shouldn't be in here is my point. But, I'm not
really going into it anymore. My opinion has been made, and I know I'm not
the only one that noticed. There is a site that is putting up some quotes
from this group that sound like a George Carlin standup routine. It is the
few (2-3) that are causing problems for the others.

I understand that the insults are getting bad (by a few "regulars" in this
group), and I'm not trying to be insulting. I'm just trying to state that
there are a select few that need "the talk". There is a lot of name calling
from the trolls, and I'm sure that there are killfiles blocking them out on
some MVP's newsreaders. And by hitting back, I'm hoping you're not referring
to the attacks using obsenities that would make a sailor blush... I
understand that they are only human, but there is a line that shouldn't be
crossed.

I will leave the name calling to those for whom it is the only means of
putting a point across.. :)

Most recent idiotic quote added to KICK (Klassic Idiotic Caption Kooks):

You have already made 8 posts none on topic, all defending your
bruised ego. As a MVP, you are a laughing stock and constantly violate
the rules YOU are suppose to follow. Accordingly if you don't stop
abusing this newsgroups and Microsoft customers, I will make a formal
request to have you removed from the program. You've been warned. Now
shape up.

Adam, you have no right to say that to Mike. You have been nothing but rude
and insulting to others in the NG. What is wrong with you man. Is it
possible for you to be constructive?

You are nothing but another KID that needs to grow up.

Several MVP that post here are ALWAYS rude and have a chip on their
shoulder and think they can lecture others or that it is cute to give
smartass answers, like at the start of this thread.

I've had a belly full of Mike struting around in spite of his
denials, pretending he is somehow in charge of this newsgroup and gets
to lecture anybody he feels like for whatever reasons he feels like.
If he refuses to conduct himself as expected as a MVP, then he will
get slapped down as often as it takes for him to learn how to behave.
