RAM / Sound Card Issue

This appears to be an addressing issue, but here's my problem:

I have a server running Windows 2000 Adv Server, Dual 2.2GHz Xeon procs,
SuperMicro P4DLR motherboard, and 8GB of RAM. I recently installed a Sound
Blaster Audigy LS sound card but the card is not operating correctly.
Everything appears to be fine in the software (no conflicts, latest drivers),
but there is no output to my speakers.

The only success I've had is when I remove 4GB of RAM. Everything is
operational.

Is there a way to run my server w/ 8GB of RAM and this card installed?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You need to address this issue with Creative Labs.

The system in question is allegedly a server.
Just what the heck is this so-called server
doing that requires an Audigy ?

Why not just uninstall the sound drivers and pop
the sound card out of the system ?
