Hello everyone! I am having a terrible problem getting
this program installed on my computer. It is Quicken
Family Lawyer 2001. I have Xp and the minimum system
requirements for this is 95/98/2000/NT/WinMe. I found a
site to help me install it on XP and went through all of
the instructions but it is still not working. Here is
the website that I found:
http://support.broderbund.com/techtips_detail.asp?id=95.
Then when I pull up the wizard to do this it gives me
options of choosing which system out of those 5 that it
will best run with. I have no idea! It also asks me to
choose pixel and/or 256 colors. I have tried
everything! What should I do now?

Your list is not a minimum list of operating systems it is an actual list
and XP is not on it.

I assume you have tried to run in compatibility mode. If not then you may
need to upgrade it to an XP version.

That web page actually has quite comprehensive advice, and there is more
good advice on the related pages of that site. What exactly happens
when you try to follow the suggestions there? As for picking one of the
5 OSes, if you had the program working successfully on an older
computer, pick the OS that you had; if not, pick any one of them --
according to the "minimum requirements" it should run OK on all. As the
help page you cited notes, choosing color depth doesn't matter. Pick
one. If that doesn't work, pick the other. If you still can't get
things to work, send an email to Broderbund support. Make sure you
first click on the link to their "Windows XP Troubleshooting Center" and
then on the link to "E-Mail Support and a Request for Additional
Information" -- and read about what you should include in your request
for help.

Thanks very much. That makes sense....considering that I
did try every other option that the site suggested.

Appreciate your reply.
