QuickBook Pro: General protection fault

Hi! After much considerations, I have finally decided to upgrade
to Win.XP service pack 2.
But now when I am attempting to restore my QBPro.backups

I keep getting the

" Application Error: QBW caused a general protection Fault
in module QBWPR.DLL at 0001:06E6
Choose close: QBW will close".

As I recall there are many times, I have restore bkups
with Win.98SE. There is never a problem.

Anybody can help me?

You didn't say which version of QB you are running, there are many
version of QB Pro. QB Pro 2004 runs fine under XP as do all functions,
including backup and restore - I just did a small office with 4 systems
all running QB Pro and XP SP2

sorry for the ommissions, I am runing QuickBook Pro ver5.00 (97)

That might be a problem. You may have to backout SP2 to do the restore.
I would suggest upgrading QuickBook.
