General protection fault

My wife has a cookbook program. it worked well until yesterday. now we
get a message that says manager has caused a general protection fault
in module CB5.exe at 0001:897E. The program is Micro cookbook 5.0.
Any help is greatly appreciated as all her recipes are in there.

Try removing and then reinstalling software. Uninstall should only remove
program files. If hestitant, move recipes to another folder. Once
reinstalled, have program look for files in new directory.
