Quick way to add quotes or paretheses?

Is there a way I can highlight a phrase or a sentance and automatically add
quotes or parentheses on both ends? Either Word 2003 or 2007.
 
Thanks, Daiya. I assume this means there are no keystrokes or "built-in"
functionality for this feature and macros are the only solution. Thanks for
your help.
