quick question re: network browsing

Why can I see only some computers and not others when I browse the network
under "My network places"? It appears to be random that I can see some
computers, but not others, yet all of them are functinoal on the network.

If a computer has just been turned on or entered the system it might take
several minutes before you can see it network places. I assume that you can
ping the other computers or are you having problems with pinging as well.
 
Pinging it is fine. Just can't see this computer in my network places.
What stinks is that it is a server.
 
i have to same problem too.....
but this error just sometimes happen..
all the computer in the network can't browse the network
an error "unable to browse network" will appear...
pinging is just fine
but when i search the computer name, i can find it and successfully access
to that computer.
after some time, all the computer can browse the network just like normal.
but it is very frustrated and i don't know the reason.
any suggestion?
