Quick Fix for Sandisk Cruzer Mini when it fails to show under My Computer

H

If your Cruzer Mini is recognized by XP but won't show under "My
Computer", the trick that works for me is to:

1: Go to the System32 folder and run Disk Management
2: Change the drive letter of the Removable Storage device from
whatever to whatever.

Then it shows up.

I think this may be happening because when I get the "opening
options", I've selected "Take no action" which for some reason doesn't
mount the drive to My Computer.

This shouldn't be an issue.

Side Note: This is a great little storage device; however, I don't
think it's going to hold up to the abuse of being with my keys.

You do not have to go to System32 folder to find Disk Management. Right
click on My Computer icon and select Manage. Disk Management should be
listed in the menu.
