questions for 2007

I've got the 2007 office beta but haven't installed it yet. I wanted to ask
just a few questions before I do so as it's PowerPoint features that I'm
after ... for installing the beta.

1. Can drawn objects be renamed in the animation task pane (instead of
rectangle 1, rectangle 2, etc.).

2. Can you copy animations from one object another objects

3. Are there layers of any sort (I hate have to move stuff out of the way,
because I have to change how an image looks ... then have to spend a lot of
time replacing everything into place, perfectly again).

4. Is it possible to create an action or animation sequences and place them
in a library of sorts, so that these effects can be applied quickly instead
of having to recreate them.

I'd appreciate any input.
Thanks.

No, but there's a Visibility pane where you make shapes temporarily
visible/invisible.

There's also a free layer management tool that does a good bit more; it's part
of our free PPT2HTML add-in demo (http://www.pptools.com/ppt2html/)

It lets you make shapes visible/invisible, move them up/down in the layer
structure, nudge them out of the stack so you can work on them then nudge them
back into the previous position (sounds like this is just what you're after)
and a bunch of other stuff.

You can do this in the Selection and Visibility task pane, and the new names
show up in the Custom Animation pane as well.

No. You'll still need to use add-ins like the PPTExtreme Edit/Library or
Shyam's Animation Carbon for this. http://www.pptextreme.com and
http://www.mvps.org/skp/

What Steve said.

No. Check the PPTExtreme Library add-in for this.
