Animation Frustration

Robert_L_Ross

I have PowerPoint 2007. On a slide I have the title, an image, 4 text boxes
and 4 graphic rectangles.

I want to open the slide with the title, then animate it as follows;
1. Have the image fade in
2. Fade in text box 1
3. Fade in rectangle 1
4. Fade in text box 2
5. Fade in rectangle 2
6. Fade in text box 3
7. Fade in rectangle 3
8. Fade in text box 4
9. Fade in rectangle 4

I mapped it out in the animation window, but this is what I get when I view
the show:
1. Slide opens with the title
2. Fade in text box 1
3. Fade in text box 2
4. Fade in text box 3
5. Fade in text box 4
6. Image fades in
7. Fade in text box 1
8. Fade in rectangle 1
9. Fade in text box 2
10. Fade in rectangle 2
11. Fade in text box 3
12. Fade in rectangle 3
13. Fade in text box 4
14. Fade in rectangle 4

The text boxes/bullets come in right after the slide/title but it doesn't
show it in the animation order...when you 'preview' the animations you see
number 0 animate (the 4 bullet/text boxes), then item 1 starts (Image), then
2, etc.

How do I find and get rid of animation "0" or somehow hide it? Kind of
gives away the slide when the bullets populate before you can even speak.

Thanks!!

Robert,

Your nearly there....You will need 4 seperate text boxes.

You will need to set each box to appear "on mouse click" if you want to
control when each item appears

If you want the 1st bullet to appear, on a mouse click, and then the box to
appear all by itself, set the text box to appear "after previous"

Hi Robert

Are the text animations applied to the Master? If so, click the drop down
arrow and select 'Copy effects to slide' then you can re-order them to you
heart's content :)

Sorry if I have misunderstood.

Lucy
