questions about windows xp

I have been told ny several people that if I change my
windows 98 to windows xp that my digital camera and
printer may not work again.

Is this true? and if so what would need to be done to fix
the problem? Will I need to buy another printer and camera
or something?

please someone answer asap...
Do to have my puter worked on within a couple of days...

With an XP-compatible driver installed, I think you would
have no problem with your printer. Don't know about your
camera; maybe a new driver would take care of that, also.
