Question about Epson R300 Installation

I'm looking for some feedback from people already using an R300. I just
bought one and am stuck on the "press the Power button and insert the
ink cartridges" step. When I press the Power button the red light by the
switch just flickers, then remains off. The ink carriage doesn't budge
at all and the LCD remains dark. What is the normal Power ON sequence like?

Never mind - the secret is that the Start button must be held down for 3
seconds. The doc with the printer doesn't mention this, but I downloaded
additional doc from Epson's Web site & found it on the first page of
Epson's "Product Information Guide". <sheesh>

Usually with a new printer the first time the heads will park in the
position needed to insert the cartridges.
