QFE installs

I have downloaded all available QFE's. When I try to
install, I get an error saying "A new platform object
needs to be installed before this update can be
installed. Please download the latest platform update
from <http://www.microsoft.com/embedded> and install it
before attempting to install this QFE."

After going to the URL, it's still unclear what platform
object this error is referring to. The specific QFE I'm
tring to install is Q810144. Do I need to install
another QFE before installing 810144?

it from *and* in the instructions.

Install QFE Q811279 first, since it updates the QFE
installer as well. Then, all other QFEs will install just
fine. Went through all this just this morning.

At first, you have to install the qfe Q811279. the other
updates should work then
