Pysol Card Game

Questions: With 4.60 I get weird interference with the sound files.
I've downloaded 4.81 ... will the sounds work better? will the proggie
know where Python is?
I have installed pysol460.exe on several machines and have never had any
sound problems so I can't help with that.

As far as pysol-4.81.exe goes, I don't think I have ever installed it. I
think it requires Python to be installed. I believe the Python
installation should install its path so other program can find it during
its installation.

I used this version of Python:

Hi;
Need to install Python23 >FIRST< and directly to a ":\Root" directory such
as:
"C:\Python23".
ShutDown and ReBoot.
Install "Pysol v.4.81" afterwards.
Python23 will be detected and used.

BUT INSTEAD of "Pysol v.4.81" why don't you consider the programBasically the same as "Pysol" but with about a 100 extra games in it
INCLUDING a phletora of "MahJongg's.

Personally, I tried to get it to work and it wouldn't -- it kept crashing.

Hi;
I installed "PySolitaire" using the technique described for "Pysol v.4.81"
and its need for Python23.
1st: Python23 in "C:\Python23"
2nd: A shutdown and reboot then the install of "PySolitaire" itself.
Never a crash or glitch in over 3 months.
Sorry to hear about your problems.

Hmmm, I didn't put it there. Do you think that could be the problem?

Thanks so much; I will try following your instructions to the letter and
see if it works.

Does PySolitaire have the sound server? (I like listening to music while
playing).

Yeah, it drones on and on if you don't turn it off

Hmm... Well, I downloaded PySolitaire[1] last night and it doesn't have
the sound server[2] :-( So, now I'll have to hunt down all the parts and
sundry to compile my own... Or I'll just play the mods in foobar2000.

OTOH, I do think that PySolitaire is a much better version than the old
PySol 4.40 I had installed before. Now, if the actual parts were in CVS,
I could download just the cardsets I like instead of trying to download
a ridiculously huge 30 MB installer...
