putting 2 formatted documents into one

Rachael

I just learned how to "print to fax" using Lotus on my
computer at work.

I work in insurance, and have specific forms that I send
by fax often. But, when I fax stuff, I have a seperate
file that is my fax cover. I now usually enter all my
info on both files in separate screens, print them and
fax them manually.

I would love to be able to combine the fax cover into my
other documents to send them as one.

I know someone will probably ask why I don't get lotus to
do the fax cover for me. I can't, because of a certain
insurance legislation imposed by our local government has
made it a law that we have to put very specific
information on all faxes we send (a list of about 16
things....I know..it's a stupid law). There, because of
the law, we have a fax cover that has all the information
boxes that must be filled out.

Any suggestions? I tried "insert" to "page break" and
then "insert" and then "file", chose my file, but it
screwed up all the formatting. I am working with
documents with tables and different margins than the fax
cover.

Thanks (sorry, I know it's long...I hope I didn't confuse
you too much)

Hi Rachael,

Note: this suggestion should not be used to do any editing.
Just use it to bring the documents together for faxing,
then delete this document (or close without saving). Or
break the link to the document(s) you're importing before
you save.

- View/Outline
- display the "Master document" toolbar
- use the tool to insert a sub-document for each
document you want to include in the fax
- send the fax
