Publishing a current FP website to a different web server

i am in the process of changing web servers and i need to publish my current
website to the new server. Everytime i go to "publish to the web," with my
current address, it says "you cannot publish frontpage web to itself. Please
choose a different location." I cannot even enter in my username and
password to start the process. Do i need to change the name of the site and
then try to publish? Is there something else that i am over looking? I have
looked in the manual and in the help section and it's very vague.

You will need to use the IP Address of the new server until your domain name has been transferred to
the new server. Contact the web host of the new server for instructions.
