I have used NVU for the past years. I just bought FP 2003. I've tried many
times to publish my exisiting site from "remote to local." I receive the
following error:

"server error: The URL '_vti_log' is invalid. It may refer to a
nonexistent file or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder that is not in
the current Web."

what do i need to do so that i can publish the website to my local drive and
start using FP 2003?

Instructions for Publishing Remote to Local

http://www.expression-web-tutorials.com/publish-remote-to-local.html IF you
have fpse installed on the server.

If you are using ftp to publish, you should be able to create a new empty
web in fp, sign on to the remote site and just transfer the files from the
remote site to the new web. I find it easier to create a new empty web in fp
then use Filezilla or any 3rd party ftp program to transfer the files. Then
just open the site in fp > Recalculate hyperlinks

Let us know if it works.

no go Pat. Filezilla works great. but still have the issue when i try to
publish. Interesting thing is that i was working on a friends website, and
their server didn't give FP any problems at all. any other suggestions,
might it be the host server (they say that FP extensions are installed)
