How do you workout how much power you need for a computer. The mobo i will be buying is A8N-SLI PREMIUM i will be using 2 graphics cards when the price comes down.I was thinking of buying a SEASONIC S-12 600W i have tryed the calculator websites but still not sure which to buy,i would like to do some modding, and do 2 graphics cards use the same amount of power or twice the amount. THANKYOU CYBERSPACE

Sorry I didn't read the first thread properly and see that you have already used the calculators, I'm with the rest and would go for 500W plus on a GOOD power supply (Tagan, Antec, etc...).

stuartw101, 235 Volts can't be directly equated to Power (Watts), but you can use P = V * I to calculate them if you know "I" (current).

anyone know? on the back of my pc it says 230v.
230V is just the operating voltage, but there will also be a Power - normally, 250, 300, 350, 400, 500, 550, 600W depending on the unit.

each graphics card needs its own power so adding a second card will be 2 times the amount one card needs

the enermax PSU's are good and that one should have plenty of power

Edit: ok just checked the specs and that has a total of 35 A across 4 12V rails which should be moe than enough
