so are you gonna use your existing case + psu etc?

well case is 90% i will use it

however with the psu im a bit worried

i looked at it earlier opened it up tried it on my other machine works fine and its ~SO SILENT thank god

bad news is that i couldnt see any pci e express power lead should there be one??? i dont know but i presume there is one!

all i could find was normal molex, 2 sata connectors, lots of floppy connectors
and this 12v thing that is needed for pentium 4

so if this psu will not work for my pci e then yes i will have to get a new one!

im keeping my floppy drive
cdrw. dvdrw and cpu fan i checked to see if it supports the new cpus and it does!

anything i missed out?

yer im sure its good

but i was intending to use my current cpu fan
u should see the model no1 in the first post of this thread.

looked on the site it appears that it does support all socket 939 speeds!

so if i just got the oem cpu i could save 20 or 30 quid there!!
lol

*dont buy an oem cpu because the warranty for that i believe is only one year instead of three years for the retail and use the fan that comes with the cpu why dont you want to use it?? i know you own a fan atm but i dont know why you think it is so much better

If you use their HSF you get 3year warantee ... if you use you're own you get 1year ... maybe.

The HSF supplied doesn't look much, does it? It shows me how effective a simple design is. You only need to 'fit' a better HSF if you have a cooling problem.

Keep the cooler you have on the XP1800

Use the new stock cooler on the 939 - im not kidding. You wont be dissappointed.

I have used them before, you haven't. Listen up ;)
