ATX mobo, Pentium 4 1.80, 1GB ram, Win XP PRO Sp2.
PC was working properly until about 2 weeks ago; windows shuts down properly
(turn off hd, monitor) but the power supply fan still running, I have to turn
off the physical switch in back of pc. Could someone please advice as to what
could be the problem? Thanks

Check the settings in BIOS Setup for ACPI support. If it is disabled,
enable it. Otherwise, you probably have either a failing power supply or
motherboard.

Thanks for the advice. I did change the power supply and that took care of
the problem.

Once again, thanks to everyone that took their time to help out.
