PS/2 to USB adapter for mouse not working...HELP!!

Frankie

I've got an IntelliMouse 1.1 hooked up to my laptop using
a PS/2 to USB adapter. Even after installing the proper
drivers for the mouse, it's not working. It won't even
recognize the USB connection.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Frankie

If the mouse was not designed to use a USB adapter, it isn't going to work.

you can't just cobble together adapters so that a device fits in a desired
port and expect it to work.

If the mouse in question was designed to work in USB mode, it would come
with the adapter.

If memory serves me correctly, the mouse you have is PS/2 and serial only.
