Prompt to Disconnect

How can I stop the prompt asking if I want to disconnect
when I close my browser-IE.This started after I downloaded
a patch from Windows Update for the vunerability to
hackers while connected to the Internet.It never did it
before.

Go to Start > Settings > Dialup Networking. Right click on your ISP icon
and select Properties. Select Dialup tab and uncheck "Disconnect when
connection may not be needed"

.I have Win 98 and it don't have that option in Dial-Up

Networking. It has it in Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet
Options.and I did that and i still get the prompt.
