Not prompted to disconnect on exit

Joe

I have IE6, and it used to be that when I closed the
browser, I was prompted to disconnect from my dial-up
connection. The only thing I have recently done, that may
have changes this is to upgrade from IE5 to IE6

Can anyone tell me how to change this setting back so I am
prompted to disconnect on exit?

Any help appreciated!!

Try this:
-Open IE, click Tools | Internet Options
-Click the Connection tab
-Double-click on your Internet Connection, click "Advanced"
-Click "Disconnect if idle for XX minutes" checkbox to clear it
-Click OK, click OK again.

If the above suggestion doesn't work, try modifying the EnableAutodisconnect
value in registry:
(Backup your registry first)
-open regedit, navigate to this branch:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings]

-Double-click the EnableAutodisconnect and change the data value to 01 00 00
00

-After you make this change and quit Registry Editor, restart your
computer.
