I insatlled Adobe Photoshop 5.0. I downloade pictures from my Kodak galleries
succesfully. Now when I open Photoshop it doesn't open all the way so I have
to control, alt. delete and get a message that the program is not responding
so I have to re-start my computer. Microsoft advise to install and run
Windows Defender. I did this and ran it along with other security scans with
no problems found. My problem still exist.

Did you try a system restore to a date when things were running ok? Have
you uninstalled/reinstalled Photoshop? Contacted Adobe tech support for
help?

I deleted the program but could not get the system to restore. It didn't
matter which date I use I woul get a message that the copmuter could not be
restored to that date and that no changes had been made to my computer.

See Bert Kinney's System Restore page on failure to restore.
