Programs not closing

He has water-cooled his CPU, as he is overclocking.

He has the garden hose running over it!

A legitimate question. Explanation #1: I spell checked the text I typed and
the speller highlighted the word which I intended to type as "irritated." It
is my Windows Mail speller. The speller offered me a menu of choices. My
vision is not that perfect and I have trouble seeing in glare. Apparently I
clicked Change. This is one of the explanations.

The other explanation is that "t" key and "g" key are close on the keyboard.
perhaps I pressed the wrong key thinking it was a "t" it is also possible. I
stay corrected. Nobody is perfect.

You better check the records, if I called you a crook I did. I am not sure
about it and won't bother to check.

Some people do water-cool their CPU. I don't. I don't overclock either. It
was not even a slip of the tongue. It was a mistype.

That's good, mentally mis-morphed Murphy. I don't save anything. My memory
is good and I commit everything to it. I am happy you did. It is important
for posterity.

That is my personal policy. It is written in my heart and I freely share it
with anyone in this forum.

I read and follow this policy, idiot.

You don't have to have a written policy to do something. Even some contracts
if unwritten are considered contacts and may be enforced by the court.

It is an English Expression, you idiot, I doubt you've ever heard of it.
People say that. And I said that with that in mind. It is hard to count on
idiots. They always see things thru their own crooked mind. It is an English
idiom, if you with. "This is my policy" means that you have a principle, a
precept that you follow.

It is available to you since I posted it here. It is my personal policy.

You are so low! How far did you go in school, deMonkey? I am serious.

It looks like you are trying to speak about lofty matters.

stay corrected

meant to be "stand corrected"

Provided we checked his IQ and I proved to be wrong.

You've been proven wrong so many times.

Did you find your Microsoft Office 2005?

Yes I have the problem all the time, I end up having to restart as I can't
even close programs in task manager, this regularly occurs, vista, what a
pile of crap!

The product Malke recommends and recommends unscrupulously is his own
business. There is a clear conflict of interest in here. He is an MVP who
is supposed to help people to resolve their problems but instead he takes
care of his financial interests primarily.

And what product would that be, AlexB? Since I don't offer any products for
sale or download on my website, it's hard to see where you're getting this
idea. Of course, your posts do show evidence of a disordered mind so me
looking for logic from you is.... illogical.
I will report you to MS, Malke. I will file a complaint. I will also ask
them to review my posts versus your claim that I do not know anything
about computers. I will ask MS to force you to provide quotes and specific
proof of your preposterous claim.

You go right ahead, AlexB. I'm not sure what "preposterous claim" to which
you refer but I'm not afraid of "dealing" with you either, AlexB. And I
will continue to point out to posters when you write complete and utter
drivel. Like you have just done now.

Are you the OP ("Question Master")? If yes, you're still not providing
enough information to get focused help. Follow the shutdown troubleshooting
suggestions I already gave you. If you're not the OP, then refer to my
previous answer to Question Master with those troubleshooting steps.

If you're not the OP and want help, then please make a new post and include
all pertinent details about your system and problem per these guides:

You'll end up being very busy, as most of what AlexB posts here is
drivel. :-) He's the MOST paranoid Usenet user that I've run across. When
he's not looking for communists under his bed, he's convinced that every
software package sold for Windoze (except those directly from MS) contains
malware.

BTW, what happened to your Mac? See you're using Knode. Are you running
Linux on the Mac now or your older computer?

Cheers.

I must say the developers at Microsoft do have a sense of humour.

Thanks for your comments. Running SuSE 10.1* under VMware Fusion on Leopard
10.5.1. Best of both worlds.

*Fusion is newish so it's best to stick with supported guest OSs and that's
the latest version of SuSE supported. And I already had the CDs.

Is VMware Fusion just made for Macs or is it a new version from VMWare that
will run on other hosts? If the latter, is it offering 3d support now in a
vm?

Cheers.

Fusion is a VMware desktop product made just for Macs. It does offer 3D
support* and is excellent. VMware also has desktop products for PCs - you
would want the VMware Workstation or, if you don't want to create VMs
yourself, you can get the free VMware Player and download various
"appliances", many of which are free (like the different Linux distros).
Unlike Microsoft's Virtual PC 2007, VMware products are not free (except
for the Player). I don't believe MS has a virtualization product that will
run on the Mac, but in any case I prefer VMware's software. I have VMware
Workstation for my Windows machines.

*After installing VMware Tools on the guest OS.

If your memory is so good, why don't you go back and finish all the posts
you have abandoned? Why can't you remember all the stupid things you have
written that everyone judges you by? We all remember them.
