Problems with program closings

S

Sinner

New installation of Vista Business SP2 on a 2.5 year old Gateway Profile6
with 2GB, 40G HDD.

Problem:

Occasionally, when closing IE7 or Windows Mail using the Red X on the title
bar, a dialog pops up stating that IE7 or WM has stopped working. It gives
two options, go online to look for a solution and restart the program or
just restart the program. Using the red X to close the error dialog works
perfectly.

I posted here, because the problems appear to be identical and related to
Vista because they are Vista installed apps.

Anyone else experiencing this behavior? Any solutions?

The 2 programs are intricately interlinked, so possibly a troublesome add-on
for IE.

[Within IE] Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Manage add-ons > Disable
any recent ones
