Programs/icons disappear after every shutdown

My little niece was messing around on my computer and now everytime I restart it, anything to do with the Internet disappears. Kazaa, my Internet Explorer icon and all my personal settings like e-mail and homepage aren't there. I get a homepage of something like runoncemsn.com and it's like I have a new computer with no history everytime I restart it. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance for any info!
