Programs aren't starting up when I startup Windows2000!!!!

my programs arent starting up when i startup windows2000.
i just got it today. i got a joystick program and it use
to startup auto when i installed it on win98. now it wont
show up on 2000! i tried to go to msconfig but i guess it
has no msconfig on win2000! help!!!

%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
or
%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\%username%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

why the heck do i gotta add a shrtcut? add details man,
not just make a shortcut. and what else? that cant be all,
and where do i put the shortcut.

A shortcut placed in the directories I mention will execute at logon. Either
for all users or only for the logged on user specified. %username% = the
username you use to logon with.

where should i put the shortcuts? and do i put the exe
file into that directory? and what about the .dll files
for that .exe program?

i tired to even opne the file and nothing hapens!? and
where can i find out how my performance like system
resources is? it was juts my system then performance on
win98, where is it on win2000?

Open what file? You can use Task Manager and or Performance Monitor for
system objects/ resources.
