Program errors

every time i go to a website that has java applications explorer freezes for
a time, sometimes says its not responding and closes. also i cannot run any
antivirus scanners because as soon as it gets to the sun java folder it says
"Faulting application mghtml.exe, version 4.0.0.69, faulting module
mcscan32.dll, version 4.4.0.0, fault address 0x000d1986" and shuts down. ive
updated the java client, and even removed and reinstalled the client and ive
also did a system restore to a point before i was experiencing these problems
all to no effect. im more concerned about not being able to fully use my
antivirus program, rather then the annoying but harmless problem with
explorer. and it isnt just mcaffee thats giving me issues all antivirus
programs ive tried do the same thing once it starts scanning the java client
folder.

A few ideas. If you have a VGA card make sure Ansiotropic filtering is set
to application controlled. Right click desktop and click properties in the
dropdown menu. Click the Settings tab. Click the advanced button. Click the
tab with your VGA card on it or the Adaptor tab to see what card you have
installed. If you have one you might be able to change the settings. If you
don't then it's probably ok.

Next. Click Start, My Computer, C drive, Documents and Settings. Click on
the folder that represents you as the user, click Application Data (you may
have to enable show hidden files and folders in folder options first) Click
Sun, Java, Deployment, Cache, javapi, v1.0, jar. Delete everything in this
folder.

If this doesn't work and I assume you use Sun java go to the website and go
through the FAQ and also Sun discussion groups as they do offer fixes for
some peticular problems.
