In the Control Panel the Java applications 'about' info is: Standard
Edition 6, Version 6 Update 5 (build 1.6.0_05-b13).

I also have the following Java in my add/remove programs:
J2SE Java runtime environment 5.0 update 9
Java(tm) 6 update 3
Java(tm) 6 update 3
Java(tm) 6 update 5

Are the Java 6 updates accumulative and can any of the above in the
add/remove programs be deleted without affecting the Java application?

TIA.... G

You only need to keep the latest version of Java. You can uninstall all the
older versions.

You might want to visit the Java web site and download the latest version. The
latest is Version 6, Update 7.

Good luck

Yes. All you need is the latest, which, by the way, is Version 6
update *7*, not 6.

This nifty tool may assist:
JavaRa 1.09
JavaRa is a simple tool that does a simple job: it removes old and
redundant versions of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
