Profiles - win2k3

Sorry that this is a win2k3 problem but i cant find a win2k NG

how can i take ownership of the profiles directory while still allowing
users
to access there profiles.

at the minute if i take ownership of a users profile as an admin, they
recieve
an error:

Windows did not load your roaming profile and is attempting to log you on
with your local profile. Changes to the profile will not be copied to the
server when you logoff. Windows did not load your profile because a server
copy of the profile folder already exists that does not have the correct
security. Either the current user or the Administrator's group must be the
owner of the folder. Contact your network administrator.

I have still given the user full control over that folder. Having looked
around for
the problem I have noticed that it is only win2000 SP4 and winxp SP1 that
this
effects - but i cant find a solution to this problem

Any help with this would be really appreciated - im now desperate

First...

This is a good article about setting permissions on profiles folders

Security Recommendations for Roaming User Profiles Shared Folders

Second, therre has been some changes in romaing profiles in XP SP1 and
Windows 2000 SP4 that can cause problems
