Is anyone else experiencing a problem where you request a key for various
flavors of Windows Vista Beta 2 but can only receive the Home Basic Key? Is
this a glitch or is Microsoft intentionally restricting the keys to Vista
Ultimate?

Yeh - just general server glitches I expect. Lots of people are accessing
the same thing at once - things are bound to go wrong )

Although it looks like others are having the same experience you are,
for what its worth I didn't seem to have an issue getting a key from
MSDN (Universal).

The key I requested was labeled "Windows Vista Ultimate Beta 2",
worked successfully for installation, Welcome Center confirms "Windows
Edition: Windows VistaTM Ultimate", and activation has been
successful.

This was around 10:00am PDT that I requested the key, for what it's
worth.

Same problem here, tried a number of times 8 hrs ago and then now, I
can't get any Vista Keys from MSDN - got the Longhorn Server Beta 2
keys okay though!

Been trying to get the ultimate key on MSDN since last night with no luck.
Just get " Error while requesting Product Keys"

When I needed the product keys, I went to the product key section of our
MSDN Subscription, checked the box next to Windows Vista Ultimate Beta 2 and
then chose "Request Product Key" and it came back with a product key. I did
have the same problem as everyone else when I tried to use the "Obtain
Product Key" button on the download page. Try doing this and see if it
doesn't fix your problem.

You have to either wait a while for less load on the key generation, or try
over and over. Eventually you will get lucky...hopefully.

Do not call customer support like it says on the error page though. They
will only tell you that you have to get it from the subscribers site.
