Product ID Number

Can anyone tell me where to find my product ID number for
XP Home Edition? I haven't been able to complete the
upgrade so I can't get it from the software.

The Product ID number is not generated until Windows XP is fully installed.

Do you mean the Product Key which the installation asks for? If so, it
should be with your COA. The COA is usually pasted on the manual, but
in some cases it is pasted on the shrink wrap. I had one of the shrink
wrap variety and threw the wrap away without saving the Key for
Win98se. I called a Microsoft number and they gave me a new Key.
