Hi All,
anyone know why my XP Home with service pack two is reporting in system
information my processor as 1094mhz when I bought and installed an AMD
1.3ghz processor?
Any help would be appreciated.

You do know that a long time ago AMD stopped naming their processors on
their actual speed and instead named them as to their equivalent
Intel speed............I run 64x2 3800 it does not run at 3800 but at a
lower power

go to the amd website and download any avail cmos/bios updates designed for
winxp

double check the speed by going into windows help and support on your pc and
locate and initiate system information, where it describes in detail the
system you have....
