probs with user settings please help!!!

i went to log onto my settings today and it said that a temporary file had to
be made and i've lost all my original settings, msn etc. i printed off an
error log and it says this-

windows was unable to load the registry.this is often caused by insufficent
memory or insufficent security rights. the process cannot access the file
because it is being used by another process.

please help!!

If that does not help, then the old user profile is probably corrupt, and
you need to transfer your data from the old profile to the new. This article
