Hi when I tried to log onto my user on xp i got this message.

Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this
error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile. If
this problem persists, contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - An I/O operation initiated by the registry failed unrecoverably.
The registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that
contain the system's image of the registry.

It also says that it has loaded a temp profile, i have lost everything on my
docs! please help!

Sounds like your profile is corrupted. You'll have to delete the user
account and create a new one. Not to worry, however, because when you
delete a user account (from Control Panel > User Accounts) Windows will
offer to save the contents of My Documents to a folder on the desktop.

If you want to be extra careful, create a new account first with
Administrator privileges. From that account you can probably copy
whatever files you wish from the damaged account.
