probs with d/l .exe files

hi,

everytime i d/l a .exe file (namley dos one's ie...adapted
drvs) i can't move, delete, rename, etc... the file. i
keep getting the "....it is being used by another person
or program...." yadda yadda yadda. any idea's as to why
xp is doing this? btw, im running windows xp pro w/sp 1.

Ah, I see and you may very well be correct, Bob! However, when I see Yada,
Yada and now Yadda Yadda (not sure yet <LOL>) posts, I stop reading and
close.
