files re-named after restore ... can't locate

I did a system restore on xp pro and didn't pay attention
when it told me it renamed some files.. now my anti-virus
is gone along w/other files.. i can locate the files but
windows tells me it can't locate the files..PLEASE
HELP!!!! the restore point of when i d/l the software is
un-available...
