Current Disk Size of System Restore?

I'm having a problem trying to determine the current disk
size of my System Restore points.

When I go into the System Restore tool, it tells me I
have 3 months worth of System Checkpoints (default 90 day
limit) with about 11 points in each month.

My C:\WINDOWS\system32\Restore\ folder
(only one found in a RESTORE folder search)
Properties indicates:
Size: 437 KB
Contains: 5 Files, 0 Folders

The Restore folder has just 4 files in it amounting to
418 KB with no hidden objects indicated.

Surely that can't be right for about 30 Restore Points.
How do you see the actual disk size of all your current
Restore Points?

The largest it will be is the size you've allocated for restore
points. Since your points go back 90 days, you probably aren't using
all of that allocation.

I would suggest you drop that size so that a month or more of restore
points drops off (the older ones are really not worth keeping anyway).
Then you will always know how much space is taken: it will be the
space you have allocated.

System restore data is stored at <drive letter>:\System Volume Information

That folder does not contain restore points. They are saved in \System
Volume Information\ which is a hidden system folder. Leave that folder
alone.

You control the amount of space that can be allocated for restore points.
The default setting is 12% of the disk which is quite likely far more than
you really need.
