Do you actually need to have system restore set on your system? I
haven't used it AT ALL since I bought my dad bought me my own
first PC and Laptop in 2001 (I was 10) with Windows XP
pre-installed! It is not what MVPs make out to be because it
doesn't actually do anything special to your system.
If I were you, I would disable it and save 12% of HD space.
hth
I set my System Restore size to 1 percent of my hard drive.
But when I go back and check it's size, it's back to Windows default
of 12 %.
This behavior adds a lot of time to my defrag program because it's
moving all those unneeded system restore points.
Is this a bug or can it be fixed?
Thanks.
