Problems writing audio CD's..

Like lots of other people on here, I'm using XP and have been writing audio
CD's for years with no problems.

The last day or so writing audio CD's with Media player 10 it says the write
is sucessful but then won't recognise anything is on the CD. I know it's not
the CD's as it's done this 4 times in a row! It's also not an issue with .mp3
compatability as it's the drive that can't read it (or any other CD player).
We have plenty of free space on harddisk and so on..

How can I tell if it's definately the CD-RW that's broken? Hardware system
says the device is functioning correctly.

Thanks in advance

Yes, I also am experiencing problems and I am beginning to wonder if it had
to do with the most recent Windows Media Center Update that is causing the
problems. Have you recently downloaded the update as well??

Yeah, all updates are on automatically :S
Unfortunatly, Byte's suggested article only went over some of the stuff I'd
already covered - nothing seems to be working all of a sudden and I can't
believe it's just our computer that's sponataneously broken...
I sense a conspiracy...
