I am using Windows Media Player version 11.0.5721.5230
Windows Home Edition Service Pack 3.

When I try to burn music from my library on to an audio cd I follow the
instructions on the screen and insert a blank cd when instructed.
After a short delay the cd drive returns my cd and a window appears on the
screen asking me (once again) to insert a cd which I do and the same thing
happens again. I have confirmed that my CDs are ok and I have followed the on
screen instructions to the letter. HELP

Hello,

How old is your system? Perhaps the laser for the CD writing is weakening?

Thanks for you reply, my system is about 3 years old so I can only assume
that the lazer is not the problem? incidentally I have no problem ripping
from audio cd to computer at all.

Do you have any other burning software installed ? Such as Nero, Roxio etc ?

Try :

* a CD lens cleaner
* different media (change the CD make

Here is a free work around :

Any other messages than the simple "Insert a CD" ?
