Will I be able to reinstall an OEM version of XP if I have problems, or did I
just have one shot at it. If I can, do I put it in my CD-Rom and turn the
machine off then power it back up? Will the CD auto start and off I go?
Thanks for help!!

You can reinstall it as often as you wish (but you might have to call to
activate). Go in the computer BIOS and change the Boot Order so that it
boots to the CD-ROM before the hard drive and boot the computer with the
CD and install Windows.

Thanks John John. Ok, so I'm setting here with my problematic XP and want to
reinstall how do I change it to boot from the CD? Please walk me through that
i'm not that swift with computers. Thanks in advance!!

When you boot your computer, and before Windows starts to boot, you have
to press a key and you will enter the BIOS or CMOS. The key to press is
not the same for all computers. Usually there is an on-screen message
or instructions telling you which key(s) to press. Common keys are F1,
F2, F10, Del or Esc. As I said it depends on your make and model of
computer or motherboard. Post the name and model number and someone
will be able to give you the exact information.

Thanks, John John. I have a compaq presario Duron 750. I think the model is
5002US.
