Windows XP sign-in screen

Recently purchased a copy of XP to install on my computer, an OEM version.
Researched the specifications to see if XP would work on my computer,
everthing was a go!! Did the clean install and not the upgrade, some files
couldn't be installed so during the install chose to go back and repair the
items. It repaired itself and finished the install and finalized the install.
At the part where it asked who would be using this copy I proceded to put my
name and each of the kids names on the sign in page, to personalize it. After
the restart, to my astonishment, when I got ready to sign in to widows it
asked for a password, I did not make a password. So I then restarted in safe
mode to use the Administrator sign-in to change passwords it also asked for a
password, which I did not make one for either, now what!! Please help!

I'm just an average computer skilled guy, what do you mean by tabbing thru
the sign-in screen. I didn't think I could get past the welcome/sign-in
screen without a password since it was prompting me for one. Help!!

In Safe Mode when it asks for admin password and you did not set one up you
can push the TAB key on the keyboard and then enter........most of the time
this works........sometimes it does not.
